We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead the Snow, Lawn, Construction and Enhancement, Irrigation, and Bed Care departments in a manner that improves source data, efficiencies, and profitability. The Director of Operations will also work with the Sales Team to create and achieve the sales goals of TCLA.
Here is what you can expect to do when you work at TCLA:

- Drive the Operations Team to meet or exceed quality and production goals

- Ensure source data is accurate and timely
- Assist the Human Resources Manager in recruiting and staffing and employee related issues.
- Work with Administration, Sales, and Operations to develop process and systems that improve business practices
- Mentor department managers and staff. Conducts annual evaluations and holds Team Members accountable to the TCLA Core Values
- Work with Shop Manager to schedule and organize equipment and assets as well as recommends equipment and resource needs
- Form relationships with TCLA customers and vendors
- Participate and run appropriate meetings
- Work in the field and drive vehicle to projects to assist in work, troubleshoot, or check on status
- Assist in summer, office and promotional activities that best serve the long-term vision of TCLA
- Work closely with Director of Support on companywide training initiative
- Assist with snow operations during the winter (in a support role)
- Engage in continuing education activities and community and industry outreach through ASCA, SIMA, MGIA, etc.
We ask that you have these:
- Strong people skills
- Thorough knowledge of snow and landscaping industry
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to perform manual labor & lift 50 lbs. of weight
- Willingness to work both inside and outside, in sometimes noisy and humid environments
- Willingness to follow safety protocols, including ear protection, gloves, eye protection
- Constant willingness to step up and “own” a project and see it through to the end
- High school diploma and experience in management positions in the landscaping industry; relevant college coursework in business and/or horticulture is useful
- Chauffeur’s license, ASCA-C certification for snow removal activities
- Core 3A, 3B, 6A certification is preferred
