ENHANCING THE SPACE

Revitalizing this lush landscape called for a mindful touch while incorporating the existing trees, shrubs, and plantings in the new design. After a house fire, this homeowner hoped to celebrate the remaining elements of the landscapes while adding new features to enhance the space. The project began with a customized front porch that leads to a winding walkway topped with natural stone. A delicate stone pathway connects to the entrance and weaves through a sloped garden enveloped in newly installed shrubs. Next, the walkway follows the shape of the home and leads guests through a tiered display of foliage. It culminated in a newly laid stone patio that sits in the shade beneath the home’s elevated porch. Fresh plantings complement the existing trees and shrubs that meant a lot to the homeowner, creating a new space for the more beloved parts of the landscape.
