We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead the Snow, Lawn, Construction and Enhancement, Irrigation, and Bed Care departments in a manner that improves source data, efficiencies, and profitability. The Director of Operations will also work with the Sales Team to create and achieve the sales goals of TCLA.

  • Mentor department managers and staff. Conducts annual evaluations and holds Team Members accountable to the TCLA Core Values
  • Work with Shop Manager to schedule and organize equipment and assets as well as recommends equipment and resource needs
  • Form relationships with TCLA customers and vendors
  • Participate and run appropriate meetings
  • Work in the field and drive vehicle to projects to assist in work, troubleshoot, or check on status
  • Assist in summer, office and promotional activities that best serve the long-term vision of TCLA
  • Work closely with Director of Support on companywide training initiative
  • Assist with snow operations during the winter (in a support role)
  • Engage in continuing education activities and community and industry outreach through ASCA, SIMA, MGIA, etc.

We ask that you have these:

  • Strong people skills
  • Thorough knowledge of snow and landscaping industry
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to perform manual labor & lift 50 lbs. of weight
  • Willingness to work both inside and outside, in sometimes noisy and humid environments
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols, including ear protection, gloves, eye protection
  • Constant willingness to step up and “own” a project and see it through to the end
  • High school diploma and experience in management positions in the landscaping industry; relevant college coursework in business and/or horticulture is useful
  • Chauffeur’s license, ASCA-C certification for snow removal activities
  • Core 3A, 3B, 6A certification is preferred

Troy Clogg Landscape Associates is looking for a detailed oriented and driven individual who can join our Admin Team and provide immediate impact. This individual will help to gather information, create proposals, enter information into our job tracking software, and build job packages for Operations. In addition, this person will be responsible for other administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, etc.

What You'll Do:

  • Gather information from Sales Team to create proposals
  • Enter required information into LMN (Landscape Management Network) software for proper job tracking
  • Construct project packages (Job Boxes) for Operations
  • Call MISS DIG prior to start of projects
  • Miscellaneous office tasks such as filing, scanning, organizing, etc.
  • Create and maintain Excel (and other) documents
  • Assist with the billing process

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel (Proficiency in Quickbooks not required but helpful)
  • Landscape industry experience not necessary but desirable.

  • Will cut branches or trunk sections in order to remove from job site.
  • Uses appropriate tools to fell trees and split them into manageable pieces.
  • Remove limbs and brush, cleanup and dispose of debris.
  • Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper
  • Sprays stumps and brush with hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth.
  • Directs traffic when needed, drives and operates trucks and equipment as assigned, and keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly.
  • Operate a bucket for trimming and removals.
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Filling out the documentation (Service records, product usage, notes, etc.)

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of tree removal technibility to pull a trailer.
  • Must be 3B certified (M.D.A.R.D)
  • 3-5 years climbing and bucket truck experience
  • Chauffeur License, valid DOT Medical Card, good driving record
  • Able to lift 50 pound

Compensation:

  • $25-$30 hr based on experience
  • $500 sign on bonus
  • Year round work
