A BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY TO THE WATERFRONT
This 2018 project in Chelsea, MI, makes the journey from home to waterfront feel like summer camp, only more elegant: a summer cottage feel with a more sophisticated appeal. We used large fieldstones to construct retaining walls and steps leading to a small patio with a fire pit. The stone is perfectly at home in this setting, with its rich brownish-gray hue blending perfectly with the surrounding vegetation while complementing the home’s red brick facade. The waterfront patio features large flagstones and substantial slabs of granite for a more polished look that still captures the relaxed naturalistic feel of the property.
